Kathleen A. (Melanson) Kleiza

MILLBURY / OXFORD - Kathleen A. (Melanson) Kleiza 77, a long time resident of Oxford, MA, passed away peacefully at home in Bethlehem, NH on Saturday April 20th with her family by her side.  

She leaves her husband and high school sweetheart, of 56 years, Charles G. Kleiza, a son, Jared Kleiza and his wife, Lisa of Oxford, MA; a daughter, Shelley Garcia, and her husband Charles of Bristol, RI; a sister, Carol (Melanson) Sheehan of Sandwich, MA.   She enjoyed her five grandchildren, Church and Grant Garcia, Kassie, Cody and Alexis Kleiza and a great grandson, Jackson Kleiza; a sister-in-law, Geraldine Casey; nieces, Deborah Casey and Christine Stephen and her husband, Isaac and a nephew John Casey; extended family, and dear friends. She is pre-deceased by her parents, Aldrich and Alice (Wissell) Melanson. 

Kathleen graduated from Broms Beauty Academy and worked as a hair stylist for several years before taking the job as bookkeeper for her husband’s business, Best Business Equipment, Inc. of Worcester, MA. She enjoyed traveling, hiking the White Mountains, skiing, reading, shopping, and playing golf.  She was the only woman at the Bethlehem Country Club to get her photo on the wall for a hole in one.  Kathleen was a loving wife and mother and a good friend.  She will be missed.

Family and friends are invited to remember Kathleen’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Thursday April 25th from 5 to 7 p.m. in Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 N. Main St in Millbury, MA.  Her funeral service will be celebrated on Friday, April 26th at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 N. Main St. in Millbury, MA.  Burial will be private.
